Intro
All the time games come out that you’ve heard almost nothing about or one that claims to be “The next big thing”, yet you soon realise is just another run-of-the mill title to add to the hordes of wannabe titles. First person shooters are the prime example of this phenomena with great amounts of FPS games come out each year. But only a few are ever deemed as truly outstanding, sadly Red Faction is not one of them.
Compatibility
One of Red Factions saving graces is its specs don’t seem to be that high, probably due to the fact it was made with the PS2 in mind. I have noticed minor slowdown only on one of two instances. Most common videocards, according to the manual, work fine with the game and I had no trouble configuring the game with my Geforce2 MX. One note I saw that may be of interest to some is; “Users running Win2000 will need to get updated drivers from Creative's site for EAX to work in Win2000”. So bare that in mind if it applies to you.
