Introduction
I’m going to cut straight to the chase here and bang on about how good the original Devil May cry was. A year or so ago there was a load of complete and utter rubbish released on the Playstation 2, so much so that I hardly touched the console as a result. There were a few gems though and one of those was Capcom’s Devil May Cry. Capcom had invented yet another cool looking Anime style character with an equally cool name, Dante, which they then placed in a pure gothic setting with a Resident Evil survival horror style game structure.
The difference between Devil May Cry and Resident Evil was that the backgrounds moved in three dimensions and the game was a lot more action based than the plodding RE series. What also made Dante cooler than the RE characters was his gear, and the ability to use a broadsword and automatic pistol simultaneously to dish out some serious demon slaying. Dante also had attitude with some pretty cool one liner’s. The game also had some stunning graphics. It was in a word awesome. This however is the review of the sequel. Sequels eh? I can’t wait…
