Introduction

The Simpsons have generally suffered badly in the gaming world. Like other highly lucrative franchises it seems it’s destined to bring out the odd game that is worth any look, while the majority are more useful as drink coasters at the side of your desk than they are actually playing them.
Hit & Run is a fresh new change, both for the Simpsons franchise and for gamers alike. For its fair to say most people like the series, and if you’re a fan of the series then get ready to relive your own huge episode! Woo Hoo!

Compatibility

With Hit & Run being on all consoles too is the PC version going to offer you anything different? After all, playing with a fancy Playstation 2 pad or other console pad will probably be better than the pads on offer in the PC corner surely?
Whilst this may be true the PC does stand up tall once again in the area it always does, graphics. As soon as you load up the PC version you can see the difference in the visuals. If you have a modern system you can play on much higher resolutions also, adding even further to the graphical delights. I played through the whole game in 1280 x 1024, with only very minimal slow down on about two separate occasions when all hell had broken loose.
Having a mouse also clearly adds to the ease of playing Hit & Run during walking missions outside your car, compared with using an analogue thumb stick (that I’ve never gotten used too).
