Introduction
With Return to Castle Wolfenstein out in November last year, it was no surprise that comparisons would be instantly made when Medal of Honor arrived a few months later. I believe it is fair to compare the two and pit them against each other. Ok, so there are many differences between the two, but like the inevitable “Quake 3 verses Unreal Tournament” match it was just bound to happen with these two as well. Both are set in the WW2 era, both use the Quake 3 engine, both have similar Multiplayer experiences, both appeared within a few months of each other etc.
But which is better? Both games are great in their own ways, but which one clinches the crown, and most importantly why does it?
Compatibility
Before I upgraded to a Geforce 4 a couple of months ago I had a 32MB Geforce 2 MX and still the game ran tremendously well on a resolution of 1024 x 768, even on 32bit texture settings. If you have a system similar to mine (which isn’t too difficult nowadays) then I’ll doubt you’ll have any compatibility problems to speak off. Only when action got a bit carried away at some points in Single player did I get a noticeable bit of slowdown, but then what game doesn’t? Anyway I could always do with more memory to help speed things along :-)
