Introduction
Boxing has traditionally been a hard sport to bring to the world of gaming. In fact the majority of boxing games so far have been ‘mash the keys and hope for the best’ affairs, producing many interesting facial spasms for lucky onlookers but hardly ever a rewarding experience.
Fight Night 2004 put an end to all that. With a revolutionary new fight control system, which is one of the best designed control systems in sports games to date, Fight Night 2004 was an instant hit. Now the masters of the ring return in Fight Night: Round 2.
To most people boxing is a sport where two people constantly beat each other in the head until one falls over. To the remaining few it is a game of beauty where two skilled warriors battle it out in the ring trying to score points with clean hits and avoid being hit with good foot and body work. This is where Fight Night excels itself. You can do the foot work, you can do the body work, and most importantly of all – you can hit people really hard.
With a plentiful supply of well known boxers, old and new, and the addition of a couple of new punches, Fight Night: Round 2 promises to be every bit as good as its predecessor, and maybe go a few steps more.
