Introduction
TUN tun tun tun, TUN tun tun tun, TUN tun tun tun – The unmistakable sound of Indian drums way off in the distance. Docile Buffalo roam the plains peacefully, nibbling the grass with some quiet grunts and snuffles. Overhead an eagle circles, soaring on the air currents and spotting for prey. On the horizon great pillars of stone loom like giant teeth that have been thrust up through the earths crust and left to cast a red shadow over the surrounding plains. A mountain lion stalks the craggy heights looking for a meal. The eye pulls back and shifts its gaze to a small town down below. The church bell begins its lowly toll and villagers scatter into whatever safe holds they can find. It’s noon.
Chink…”Why you lilly livered”…chink…”chicken hearted”…chink…”No good”…chink…”yellow bellied”…chink…”DRAW!”
One man lies dead on the floor, shot through the chest. The other stands victorious, chewing on a rancid cigar and scanning the town with a squint. He turns, mounts his horse and gently canters out of town. The piano in the local bar stars up with a jolly tune and the townsfolk resume their daily business. This is the west. This is the Wild West. And this is a game called Gun.
