Additionally, there is a Serial ATA cable, a 4 port USB expansion plate which allows you to use all 6 of the i845PE’s USB 2.0 ports (I can’t believe how many manufacturers still include 2 port plates, or none at all), and some excellent additions that weren’t included with the i845G board that I was happy to see this time.
A daughter card with optical and coaxial digital outs and a coaxial digital input, as well as an additional mic and headphone jack was included, allowing you to use the full features of the onboard 6 channel audio. Finally, there are two more items that I’ve never seen included with a motherboard before. The first is a large sticker with all of the board’s jumper settings and pins for the USB plate and power\reset switch, etc. This is a GREAT idea. I can’t think of how many times I’ve had to go hunt down a manual just to find where the power switch pins are. The second is a sheet that explains the basics of how to overclock the board, and what kind of hardware you will need to do so. This is another excellent idea. Just about every other board I’ve seen basically takes the stance of, “well you shouldn’t really overclock this board, but if you do, you probably already know how to do it.”
