I think the one thing to take home from this round-up, and what impressed me the most overall is the high quality of the contenders here today, with only Samsung failing to impress. If you cast your eyes back to my PC2700 roundup you will see that more than a few of sticks failed to reach their rated speed. Not so in this test, with only Samsung not hitting well over its manufacturers claimed performance. Bottom line then, almost any of the sticks featured in this test will serve you well in the overclocking department, and I think its fair to say that top of the range sticks from Corsair, Geil Mushkin will be more than capable of maxing out the CPU's FSB potential on 95% of enthusiasts computers. If however you want the absolute creme de la creme, OCZ's EL-DDR PC3500 is by far and away the best module tested. Not only did it hit more than 28MHz faster than its closest rivals, it is also extremely aggressively priced at just £176 from shop4memory.
