Though there is some performance increase, it is fairly small. The Athlon simply cannot utilize the massive amount of available memory bandwith above 500mhz DDR, though that may change if the rumor of a 400mhz fsb Barton turns out to be true. However, the Springdale and Canterwood chipsets and 800mhz fsb Pentium 4s are really where this ram is going to shine. I can’t wait.
