Introduction

As much as I like my Creative Jukebox 3, transferring files using PlayCenter 3 is somewhat cumbersome and inefficient. In my opinion, it would have been much simpler (and probably easier from a driver point of view!) to make the Jukebox a removable hard drive that you can drag and drop music onto via Windows Explorer. Creative, in their infinite wisdom seem to disagree. However, fortunately for us, a company called Red Chair Software have produced a program that does just that!

USA - based Red Chair Software have been around since the release of the first Jukebox back in the year 2000, and have been producing stylish and easy to use software that puts Creative's own applications to shame since that time. There is an extensive Support section on their website, and I can confirm almost frighteningly quick email responses should you have any queries or problems with their product!

The program, which is named Notmad, is a mere 1MB Download from Red Chair's Website, although you do have to pay for the privilege - Notmad costs $25 for the Jukebox 1,2,3 and Zen, $10 for the MuVo edition and $15 for the original Nomad II. If you are lucky enough to own multiple jukeboxes you can buy a Universal Edition for $35.

Let's find out if its worth the cash!
