Features

Notmad Jukebox 3 fully integrates your MP3 player into Windows Explorer / My Computer as a removable device. Pretty much anything you can do with a removable hard drive you can do with Notmad and your Jukebox, including drag-and-drop file transfer, storing files and folders (not necessarily containing MP3s!) copy, paste, renaming files and so on. Notmad also features a number of other very useful and innovative features which we shall look at now.

Above you can see the main interface window, with me in the process of dragging an Aphex Twin track into the "chill" genre on my Jukebox 3. All of my other Genres within the jukebox are neatly arranged into genre, then artist, then track. Before I got Notmad, keeping things tidy after transferring a load of new songs to the mp3 player was a bit of a mission. With the Notmad Jukebox you can select multiple tracks and edit the ID Tag of all of them simultaneously. As you can see below, a plethora of information can be entered.

The main file tree path for your MP3 player (or at least my Jukebox 3) is separated into Audio tracks, Data files, Playlists, Artists, Albums and Genres [Comment - Major: same holds true for the Zen]. It also has links that allow you to view the last few tracks you transferred and search or a particular song all at the click of a mouse button. If you look to the left pane, you can see that I could actually take pictures with my webcam and drag them directly onto the MP3 player if I so desired, such is the flexibility of this program.

One feature I like about Notmad is the ability to play tracks on the Jukebox directly on your PC via Winamp. All you need to do is double click on an audio file once in the MP3 players music directories, and it will play it on Winamp, dBpowerAMP or JRiver Media Jukebox depending on your settings. Since I use none of the above, it's not THAT useful to me, and I'd be much appreciative to a Sonique plug in some time in the future :)
