I have unleashed my secret weapon for this part of the test, the Vapochill Premium Edition, a detailed review of which you can read here.
Utilising some of the new shims, installation on an AMD chip was not much harder than for a P4 system. At a nice frosty temperature of -26C, I was able to push the chip (once the voltage was up to 1.8V) to a massive 2472MHz, with an FSB of 215MHz! At this point I was wondering if it was the board rather than the chip holding me back, but a quick unlocking job later (I just joined the right-most L3 bridge), allowing me to select a 12.5x multiplier yielded no significant further gains. However, we are getting equivalent to over an XP3100+ CPU, based on the performance ratings of a 333Mhz T-Bred B chip. Remember though, with an FSB of DDR430MHz, the actual comparative performance would be MUCH higher. ;-)
