Device Details
The adaptor itself is surprisingly sleek, sexy and small for an item so inexpensive. Decked out in metallic steel spray, this adaptor will look just right next to your fancy silver laser mouse and swish silver TFT if you are so graced. The antennae is a fairly chunky affair but it folds flush with the adaptor when not in use, making it ideal for people intending to use the device with a laptop and so on â it will fold up neatly without taking up too much room.

Underneath the device you can helpfully see the MAC address, which will be relevant if you are setting up a âproperâ network with a hub and so forth. You will also notice that the device is wrongly labelled as being a âdongleâ, when according to every source I can find a dongle is a âhardware device that serves as copy protection for software by rendering the software inoperable when the device is not plugged into a port.â No doubt if I am wrong one of our esteemed readers will teach me the way of the righteous.

Installation was a breeze, you simply plug the device into your USB port, Windows will detect it as a USB device and then you install the drivers from the CD provided, making sure to choose the right operating system.
