Setting up a network
Setting up a wireless connection under Windows XP Pro could not be easier. After installing the drivers, you will see a new connection available in network connections called âWireless Network Connectionâ . Right-clicking on this and selecting properties allow you to set the status of the network.

First up you need to create and name new network by clicking âAddâ, then select properties.

Then to set up a peer to peer host, you just click âconfigureâ and tick âthis is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network, blah, blah, blahâ and you are good to go with the other machine. On this one, you simply hover the mouse over the icon in the taskbar and click "view available wireless network connections" and connect to the one you just created. Pretty awesome, I am sure you will agree. Then you can use it as if you were using a regular wired network, share internet connections, play games, swap pr0n, whatever.
