Zalman, a Korean manufacturer founded in 1999, is a manufacturer of heatsinks and cooling products. Rather than just being another “me too” heatsink maker, Zalman differentiates itself from its competitors by striving to make its products as quiet as possible. Today I’ve got the latest in the line of CNPS (Computer Noise Prevention System) HSFs, the 7000-Cu.
Three models comprise the CNPS7000 lineup. There is the all copper 7000-Cu which is the subject of this review, the copper\aluminum hybrid model 7000-AlCu, and the all aluminum 7000-Al. All three are identical in size and have the same fan. The sole difference would be the material of the heatsink and its effectiveness (copper is a better conductor of heat than aluminum). Here are the manufacturer provided specifications:
-Dimensions (mm) - 109(L) x 109(W) x 62(H)
-Dissipation Area (cm2) - 3170
-Base Material - Pure Copper
-Weight (g) - 773
