Note to motherboard makers: this is a perfect example of the right way to do a layout. The design is near flawless, with the ATX power connector, both sets of IDE connectors, and the FDC connector all in excellent positions. There are absolutely zero bone-headed design flaws (like sideways facing IDE connectors or FDC under the PCI slots).
The 2nd USB header and the three 1394 headers are located at the very bottom of the board, under neath the Agere 1394 chip.
To the right of the 1394 headers are the second set of SATA controllers, powered by a Silicon Image chip. It’s important to note that these two ports support SATA on ATAPI, meaning that future SATA CD and DVD-Rom drives will work on them. The traditional Epox post code device also makes a return once again.
