The FX 5900 Turbo does not have the fancy carrying case of the FX 5900PV, but rather a standard box. Inside is the usual bundle from Albatron, plus a VIVO adapter and cables, and the DB-15 to DVI adapter for using dual DVI displays.

Albatron video cards have always had excellent cooling systems, but the phoenix “wise fan” design on the 5900 takes it to a whole new level. The nVidia reference cooler for the NV35 is a noisy, massive aluminum unit that eats 2 expansion slots. Albatron’s cooler on the other hand, is a slick and streamlined design that produces little noise and only uses one slot (though you are going to want to leave PCI Slot 1 open anyway). Additionally, the Albatron cooler has a back up fan that will immediately spring into action should one of the fans fail. It’s cooling abilities and back up system make it probably the best 3rd party sink for the NV35 (and it certainly doesn’t hurt that it looks damn cool either).

Though it does have the custom heatsink, the PCB itself is still the nVidia reference design for the FX 5900\Ultra, though of course it is in Albatron’s signature blue color. The board itself is rather lengthy, so you’ll want to make sure you have the room, as this card will set you back quite a bit.
