Next up, the bubble tube. This is hardly an essential piece of kit, but if you have windowed side panels, or one of those funky clear acrylic cases, then it will certainly add some pizzazz. The bubbles do not move, since they are merely pockets of air inside the solid plastic tube. However, the tube comes with a PCI backing plate, on which you will find a button. Pressing this button begins a different lighting effect cycle. As the LEDs flash through the tube, the illusion of moving bubbles is quite convincing.
The bubble tube is easy to mount thanks to the supplied self adhesive pads, and the inverter (small black box that powers the tube) can run a second tube if you should desire. Unlike some inverters which emit a buzzing sound, this Mutant mods one I found to be totally silent.
