Some weeks ago we reviewed the Epox 8K7A+ (review here), and we found it to be one of the best implementations of the AMD760 chipset, and in all tests it delivered nothing but stellar results. All that resulted in an Editor's Choice award.
Nothing lasts long in the hardware industry! At about the same time of our review, the KT266A chipset was announced - a chipset that was to improve greatly on the not so successful predecessor, the KT266. Epox' 8KHA+ is one of the first motherboards out with this chipset, and this is the board we have in front of us today.
The review features several benchmarks, and it was tested both with a Thunderbird 1.33 GHz CPU, and an Athlon XP 1800+ CPU.
EpoxEPoX Computer Company (as it is officially called) was started only 6 years ago, in February 1995. Since it's start it has put it self at the front of the industry and has a reputation of producing high quality and high performing hardware. They are predominantly a motherboard manufacturer, but also produce modems, storage solutions etc.
