Introduction

It was a while back when Corsair brought out their PRO Series memory, which had activity LED's integrated in their heatspreaders. Today, we will have a look at Crucial's new DDR2-667 with Tracer LED's. The 2 512mb modules we received are specified below:

  • Module Size: 512MB
  • Package: Ballistix Tracer 240-pin DIMM (w\LEDs)
  • Feature: DDR2 PC2-5300
  • Configuration: 64Meg x 64
  • DIMM Type: UNBUFFERED
  • Error Checking: NON-ECC
  • Speed: DDR2-667
  • Voltage: 1.9V
  • Memory Timings: 4-4-4-10

These specifications seem pretty ho-hum for DDR2-667, and our overclocking tests will find out whether this holds true. It is also to be noted that Crucial do not test their modules in dual channel, and although it may run fine, caution will have to be taken when purchasing Ballistix memory.

You can buy this memory at Crucial for $189.99
