To test performance we compared the DFI Infinity to the Asus P5W DH Deluxe and the Intel Badaxe revision 304. Other hardware was kept consistent throughout our tests.
All three boards provided similar memory bandwidth, though the DFI does report an increase in performance which could point to tighter chipset latencies
Performance in Quake 4 is excellent, and shows the DFI to be a great Crossfire-compatible gaming board. It edges out both the Asus and the Intel boards
Likewise with Battlefield 2 – the DFI certainly has been tweaked for highly effective stock performance.
In Half Life 2, we see the Asus take top spot but the differences between all three are not significant and would certainly not impact game play.
Our Oblivion test once again sees the DFI oust the other two boards by a few frames.
In all tests the DFI provides extremely good performance and is the quickest Core 2 Duo supporting board we have tested so far.
