Soyo used to be a major player in the motherboard business back in the K-6 days, but they went quiet for a year or so before releasing this, their flagship AMD compatible motherboard. Based on VIA's KT266 chipset, the K7V Dragon features a smorgasbord of features. First up, and perhaps most interestingly is onboard promise RAID. Add to this integrated CMI 8738 5.1 Channel Audio and integrated LAN and you are already saving a load of dosh on peripherals that would normally need purchasing separately. The Dragon is not the first motherboard to be this feature-rich, but it aims to be the first to excel in all these areas. Other integrated efforts usually end up being a jack of all trades, and master of none.
