The back of the camera houses the LCD screen and the rest of the cameraâs relatively few buttons. The top two small buttons control the flash modes and are used to print or delete images. To the right of those is the 4-way selector for navigating the menu. Below that is the button to bring up the menu and enter selections. Finally, there is a button to turn the LCD on and off, and a button to lock settings.
Because the camera has so few buttons, just about all of the features are controlled by the menu system. After a few minutes of learning how it worked I found the menu to be extremely easy to use. âMode menuâ takes you to the main menu, which is somewhat like Windows Explorer. There are general folders and more specific subfolders to get to each of the cameraâs functions. One thing I really like is when you are going through subfolders, other folders in that same category are grayed out, but they donât disappear. This helps because if you are in the wrong folder for a function you want to use, you can see where the correct folder is and go to it. Besides âmode menuâ, the three other options on the top menu are user selectable short cuts. Which ever functions you use most can be set as these three options so you donât have to dig through the menu to find them. Very useful. Now that youâve seen the camera, lets see some pictures!
