Box and Bundle

This GTX 480 comes in Zotac’s now-familiar yellow and honeycomb themed box, complete with a window allowing you to peek inside at the contents. The bundle housed inside is actually rather disappointing by this firm’s high standards. We have grown used to seeing a full title PC game bundled with Zotac cards but this time around we get just a technical demo CD and a driver disk. Fortunately, the bundle of cables and adaptors is more generous. Molex to PCI Express power adaptors are included for both the card’s 6 and 8 pin connectors whilst you also get a DVI-VGA adaptor if you are using an older screen. If you plan on hooking up the card to an HD TV, you’ll also find the mini-HDMI to full size HDMI adaptor handy.

On the rear of the card we find the same selection of ports as the reference card. Twin DVI ports are joined by a mini HDMI port. If you are looking to power the Zotac GTX 480 you’ll need a PSU with one 8-pin and one 6-pin PCI Express connector. You’ll also need something with at least 700W of grunt – this is one power hungry brute once the going gets tough.
